We end up eating lots of Gü puds and keeping the glass pots. I thought it might be fun to try and make one for Elena and I - it worked really well and this is super easy! Plus you just need a microwave for this one so it is perfect for students.
Made this little pud the other night. It's fast and pretty good as a cheesecake. Give it a shot.
Muv and I made a green smoothie. It wasn't horrible. It was green. It was healthy. If you've got any other ideas, get in touch. The jar came from Elena and is pretty funky I think. We got talking to John last night and he explained he was super keen on all these healthy smoothies as he's got a NutriBullet; I don't have one so we just used a blender. Seemed to do the trick.
Having recently made the Chocolate Cheesecake I had some cream cheese left over. Rather than let it go to waste, I made this cheeky mug cheesecake. It went down well with Dad and he's notoriously hard to please...! Give it a shot.
So I saw a video called "Molten Cookie in a Cup" on the Food Bible Facebook page. It's actually from a site called Naughty Fork. The picture they posted showed a browned top of the cookie, yet they say that they microwaved it....but microwaves don't brown stuff...so we're not sure how that happened. Anyhow, this is my student version of it. Tastes great, doesn't brown.
Give it a shot.
The use of Lotus Biscoff biscuits was Venus' idea in Durham and it's absolutely brilliant. I made 7 little ramekins of these because I don't want to accidentally eat an entire cheesecake on my own.
So I bought some Pimms because Kit suggested a Pimms Cheesecake - I'm working on a recipe for that as the first one I did wasn't quite right. I also made this - it's quite refreshing. You might want to add sugar to it.
Thought this would be a cool idea. Turned out really nicely. Think the house and Elena, Kathy, Ellie and Venus enjoyed. Might be a funky little pud if you were doing a dinner party.
I put ice cream in them but could do fruit or something if you're that way inclined.
Enjoy! Do like and share the video/page on Facebook.
This is nice and refreshing. I put a little bit of honey in it to just make it a little less tart. Give it a go!
Easy and delish. Do it. Don't have to add baileys but everything is better with baileys.
So I was home alone earlier this week. Elena was in South Africa (she's a geographer and they get to go on amazing trips; as a lawyer I get to go to the library and that's it) and the rest of my house were not back. I wanted something sweet but I did not want to binge eat a load of junk. This is a bit of a happy medium.
Give it a shot.
I've seen a lot of these going around so thought it was high time I try it. Can report it was great. You can add sugar or honey if you want but I didn't because I'm trying to be good. Putting the strawberries in overnight helps with sweetness I think.
It's basically edgy porridge. Give it a shot.
For when you just need something to munch on. Fast. It's the closest thing to a proper brownie I've come across (and is basically this recipe but for one). Give it a go! All you need is a microwave.
Milk and cookies is the classic winning combination. What better way of doing it than by drinking milk from a cookie cup? #winning. And there should be enough cookie dough left over to make a cheeky cookie whilst you wait. Went down well with the house!
This is the same recipe as the Barking Baking Chocolate Cookies.
Share with a friend as this is a monster to eat on your own!
Scrambled egg. It's a classic. Normally found in a pan. Today, we are doing it in a mug. In a microwave. I was sceptical when I first heard about it but I can confirm it tastes and looks like egg once it's done. So do it. Check out the Nigella video.
OMG. This is amazing. It'll rock your world. It's obviously not as healthy as a fruit-only ice cream but by changing the base to banana you're making it much better. And it tastes FAB. So easy that you have no excuse not to do it.
Let's face it: smoothies are not as great as we think they are. Sure, they taste good but really the reason why we love them so much is because they're full of sugar. So this is a 'reduced' sugar recipe; obviously it's not as sweet but it does still get lots of fruit in you without the sugar. Give it a go. Watch the video.
Super easy and super healthy. This is a great snack and a fabulous way to get some fruit in you!
Now it's getting colder, it's high time for some more egg nog! This is a lovely little warmer. And the cheeky salted caramel liqueur adds that super special kick. Give it a go. Check out the Bailey's version and the original.
Pour the milk into your mug (this is just to measure it). Now pop it in a pan (off the heat).
Crack an egg into another mug and beat with a fork until foamy. Add to the milk.
Break the chocolate into small pieces and add to the milk.
Now turn the heat on very low and stir constantly with a wooden spoon.
You'll know it's done when the mix thickens and it begins to steam. Pour it into the original mug and top it up with the liqueur.
Watch the video. This is just like a bread and butter pudding but with Jaffa Cakes. It's amazing. This makes one.
So the other day I bought some Salted Caramel Liqueur from Tesco. One of the best decisions I've made for a while. It's like a Baileys but salted caramel. Fab. Like our Best Easy Hot Chocolate but with a bit of an extra kick!
Pop the milk in the mug and microwave for about 1.5 mins. It should be piping hot - when you stick your finger in, it should hurt!
Break in the chocolate and add in the liqueur. Stir until all the chocolate has melted (forks are great for this).
Drink! How fab is that?!
So I was hungry. This happened. I used home made vanilla ice cream, but you could use bought stuff. Enjoy.
Pop everything in a blender and blend!
It's that easy.
I think this is my new favourite one. It's super simple and delicious. Give it a go. Great for late night reading sessions!
If you are tired of reading, working or just plain sitting, why not take a break and make this truly epic cake in a cup. It's fab. Make sure you use a large cup (sports direct mugs are perfect).
There are so many great words in the title to this post. It's so easy to do and tastes fab. You absolutely must try it. Watch the video below.
