- 1 large onion
- 3 large potatoes
- Salt and pepper
- Cheese
- Milk
Method
Peel and thinly slice the potatoes and the onion.
Butter a casserole dish.
Place a layer of onion, then a layer of potato then salt and pepper and then grated cheese. Repeat this until you have used the potato and onion up - should be about three layers.
Pour in the milk until it is about half full. Cook for an hour at 200 with a lid on. Then take the lid off and brown for 20 minutes.
Very nice with steak!
