Give it a go!
- Ready roll puff pastry
- 1 large english cooking apple (a bramley apple)
- About 5 tbs caster sugar
- 1 tbs cinnamon
- Handful of sultanas
- 1 shot of cognac
Method
Peel the apples and cut into slices (removing the core as well).
Add the sugar and cinnamon to a bowl and toss the apple around in it so they are all nicely covered.
Pop the pastry into a baking tin and then arrange the apple artistically.
Add the sultanas and the cognac (evenly).
Cook for 40 mins at 175. As soon as you take it out of the oven sprinkle some brown sugar on top. The apple should be soft to the touch.
Eat warm, or save for later if you are that mentally strong.
