- 500g strong white bread flour
- Knob of soft butter
- 1tbs sugar
- 1/2 tbs salt
- Tbs milk
- 300ml water
- Plenty of flour
- Parmesan and Ham
Method
Put all the dry ingredients together (not the ham/cheese) and combine. Slowly stir in the warm water until a dough has formed. Add the milk. If it is wet, add more flour. Knead violently!
Leave to rise for 1 hour and 15 minutes in a bowl covered in cling film.
Knead again and roll out. Cover with ham and Parmesan then roll up. Grate some Parmesan over the top. Cut into four pieces then leave to rise for a further 25 minutes, again covering with cling film.
Pop in the oven for 20 minutes at 180 degrees.
