- 100g butter, softened
- 100g muscovado sugar
- 1 pudding spoon golden syrup
- 150g plain flour
- 165g M&Ms (they come in a pack; I had peanut ones)
- A teaspoon of vanilla extract
Method
This is pretty much the same as the ordinary cookies so: preheat oven to 180 degrees.
Beat butter and sugar together until nice and creamy, then add in syrup and blitz. Pop in the vanilla essence and whizz.
Carefully mix in the flour (start slowly so it does not fly everywhere!). It will turn quite crumbly. Now add the M and Ms. Doesn't have to be exactly 165g, just don't eat all of them!
Work the dough together with your fingers; the heat from your hands will make it go pretty sticky.
Divide into 10 balls and place them well apart on baking sheets. Do not flatten them.
Cook for 5 mins in the oven then take them out and gently flatten them with the back of a spoon. Cook for further 4.5 mins. Take out and leave to cool; they will harden up.
