Basically it's a layer of cookie dough, then a layer of KitKats then a layer of brownie!
This recipe is inspired by a site called What's Gaby Cooking.
Brownie layer:
- 130g butter
- 250g caster sugar
- 75g cocoa powder
- 2 eggs
- 65g plain flour
KitKat layer:
- KitKats
Cookie Dough layer:
- 115g butter
- 200g caster sugar
- 1 egg
- 160g plain flour
- 3/4 tsp baking powder
- 200g chocolate, broken up
Method
Make the cookie dough first.
Whisk the butter and sugar together. Add in the egg. Add in the flour and baking powder. Whisk. Then stir in the chocolate pieces. It’ll be a thick dough now.
Grab a baking dish lined with tin foil and press the dough in so that a base is formed.
Now pop KitKats on top.
Now make the brownies.
Melt the butter over a low heat.
In a large mixing bowl, pop the caster sugar and the cocoa powder. Pour the butter over the top and mix together with a whisk (gently at first!). Now add in the eggs. Whisk. Finally, add in the flour and beat.
Pour the brownie batter over the cookie dough and kit kat layer and cook for 31 mins at 180, covering with tin foil after about 25 mins.
