This was a bit improvised - I knew I wanted to cook something but I wasn't sure what. I pottered over to Tesco and there I saw smoked salmon on offer! Woop! Anyhow, this is delicious and easy. People think you are being upmarket but actually you are just having a good meal.
Omelettes are healthy, easy and use up stuff. These mushrooms are left over from the mushroom risotto the other night. A good lunch.
Strangely I haven't done spaghetti bolognese yet. So here it is. Enjoy. Super easy, super filling. Great cheap food. Rob adds carrots to his. Cora adds mushrooms. Sky is the limit really.
It is hard not to like rocky road. This one is amazing. Inspired by the Gü cookbook my housemates gave me. Divine and easy recipe. Give it a shot. This is a combined Rob and Hugo risotto and we are very pleased with it! Very easy and will fill you up. Give it a go. If you are vegetarian just don't add the ham!
This is spectacular. It's Millionaire's Shortbread - but better! No denying it. Elena introduced it to me and it is glorious. Do it. Will change your life. This is one of Jamie Oliver's recipes and is something to go with something else - I just had it with fish grilled on the BBQ. Very nice and can be a great salad; almost prefer it cold!
This is easier than I thought. My mum has made this forever and it is really good but I always thought it was a bit complicated and long-winded. However, I now realise the error of my ways! Super simple, super nice. Try it.
What is chicken ugg? Well, it is the left overs from a roast. Sounds pretty nasty, but it is very nice and unbelievably cheap - you are making the roast chicken do two meals. Give it a go.
OK, this was a mistake. I was trying to make fudge. But somehow it did not work as fudge. However, this is AMAZINGLY GOOD. You are supposed to use peanut butter but I did not do so because my mum is allergic to it so tried with ordinary butter. This may be why it did not work as it was meant to. Still, this is disgustingly good and would work as a pudding after a great meal. Best served chilled!
Everyone loves cheesecake. This is as easy as it is going to get. No gelatine or anything like that but it still works. This makes a nice light cheesecake that is perfect after a good meal. Make well in advance and ideally leave it to set overnight.
Roast chicken is the ultimate Sunday meal. I always thought it was quite complicated but it really is not. All you have to do is make sure you are organised about when you put everything in. Nothing beats this easy recipe so give it a go.
It was a little hectic when I made this and as a result I did not take any pictures. Instead, you have a lovely panoramic one which I took this summer. Hope it calms everything down. This one makes for a great breakfast. The challenge is the hollandaise sauce but this recipe is actually quite simple so give it a go.
Comfort food starts with Fish Pie. It takes a bit of work but it is so worth it. Plus, you can freeze it and eat it at some other date.
A good, fairly healthy supper. Can be something a bit special or just a nice easy meal. No complicated ingredients - a great recipe.
I love ratatouille. This is a tart that kind of incorporates ratatouille but it also has sausages in it to make it even more filling. Obviously you could leave this out if you wanted. This was really nice. Try it.
Top tip - you have to cook the sausages, the pastry and then the tart itself so think about when you put it in otherwise you will be eating very late!
I am a bit like Garfield in that I love lasagne! This is a great recipe. Pretty simple, and fills you up. The dish you cook it in should be about the size of an iPad.
Sushi is one of those things that intimidates the novice chef. However, we can now report that it is not that difficult. It is a light supper or a starter for a more serious meal. Tuna and avocado works well, as does salmon and cucumber. You can have loads of fun arranging and beautifying it - check out our funky fish below!!!

This was really good. Very spicy but very good. My aunt suggested it and is a great recipe for a fairly light supper/lunch.
This is real comfort food. It is easy to prepare and takes about an hour to cook. Will warm you up on a cold day! A great, easy recipe. Recipe makes about 4 meals worth (jam jar them up and freeze them). Healthy as always. This was a little more work - have to boil an egg and some pasta! Wooo!
I love duck. Chicken is nice, but duck is better. This was a combined effort with Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and my aunt (see the post "Easy Healthy Tangy Parfait"). It is spicy and rich. It looks and tastes complex but is actually super easy. The trick is knowing how!
