- Ribeye steak - get it from a good butcher (the stuff we used was about an inch thick)
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper
- Chips
- Spinach
- Tomatoes
Method
The trick with this is to get the meat out early. If you are eating it in the evening, leave it out all afternoon; the meat cooks a lot better.
Season the meat with salt and pepper and cover (lightly) with olive oil.
We did this on the BBQ at a super high heat but if you don't have one, just use a griddle. Get it as hot as you can. Sear for 3 minutes on one side then about 2 minutes on the other. I like my meat rare so this is how long I do it for. Everyone has their own preference so just adjust to suit you.
I used chips from the supermarket and just cooked those. Boil up some spinach (it's good for you) and courgette (have to confess I don't like it). Cook some tomatoes in olive oil in the oven (very nice).
Easy. Done. Boom.
