- 2 English Cooking Apples
- Mincemeat
- Brown sugar
- A little water
Method
Cut a line all the way around the “equator” of the apples. Now core them. Pop them down in a baking dish and fill them with mincemeat - poke it all the way down with your fingers.
Sprinkle them with plenty of brown sugar. Pour a little water around the base of the apples. Cook for 45 mins at 180 - keep checking them, you may need to cover them with silver foil to prevent them burning. Check the apples are done by poking them with a knife - it should be lovely and soft.
