The only downside is that it has what I call "cat food tuna" (tuna from a tin) which everyone knows smells horrible. However, this recipe makes it bearable! Give it a go.
- Salad stuff (Sainsbury's call it "italian style peppery salad")
- 4 eggs
- 4 tomatoes
- Two Tins of cat food tuna olive oil
- A tin of anchovies
- Olives
- Cheese
- Dressing - in ratio of 1 tbs balsamic vinegar to 2 tbs olive oil (do to taste)
Method
Boil the eggs for 6 minutes and leave to cool.
Chuck the salad in a bowl. Cut 4 large tomatoes into eighths and pop them in.
Open the tins of tuna and drain the olive oil away. Break it up and put on top. Mix everything up.
Now crack open the anchovies (love them so add loads) and grate flakes of cheese in (equally just cut the cheese into chunks if you do not have a grater).
Cut the eggs in half and add to the salad. Pour over the dressing and add the olives. Boom. Done.
The trick with this one is to make sure everything is mixed together and that you add enough dressing to make it nice and moist.
Serve with ciabatta bread or just eat on its own.
