Must try.
- 750g beef mince
- 1 white onion
- 1/2 a red onion
- 4 rashers of bacon
- Handful of parsley, chopped
- 1 egg
- Pack of stilton cheese
- salt and pepper
No burger is complete without...
- A good brioche bun (bread is fine though), tomatoes, mushrooms, lettuce, mustard, mayonnaise
Method
Chop the onions as finely as you can. Pop in a frying pan with some olive oil and then add in the bacon (you can cook it all together).
Grab a bowl and pop the beef mince in. Add in the onion and bacon. Add in the chopped parsley and the egg. Mash it all together with one of your hands until it is all combined.
Now pop it in the fridge for an hour or so then construct your patties. To do this get a big ball of meat and roll it in your hands. Flatten it with the palm of your hand. Grab a large hunk of cheese and pop it in. Now bring the sides of the meat around it and make a ball. Roll it in your hands to seal it all.
Now gently press down on the ball to make a burger shape. Pop it on a big plate and, when you’ve done them all, cover and fridge until ready.
We barbecued it (my Dad will BBQ anything…) for about 28 mins, flipping once after about 10 mins. If doing it in the oven it would probably take about the same time at 180.
Eat with a good bun (toasted), mayonnaise, a little English mustard, sliced tomatoes and lettuce. Fab.
