For the cake
- 5 oz butter
- 5 tbs sugar
- 5 tbs self raising flour
- 2 eggs
- 120g large milk chocolate buttons
- 120g large white chocolate buttons
For the filling
- 100g butter
- 4 tablespoons icing sugar
- A tablespoon of water - to make the mixing easier
Whisk the butter and sugar until creamy. Add the eggs. Whisk until well combined. Now add the flour. This will make it go lovely and thick. Scrape down the sides to get it all!
Stir in the buttons.
Pop in two cake tins and cook at 180 for about 30 minutes. When I did mine I cooked it for 20 minutes then put some tin foil over the top and cooked it for another 7 minutes and it worked beautifully!
Leave on a cooling rack.
To do the filling, simply whisk up the butter and the icing sugar. Very easy. Spread over the cake and sandwich together.
