A good, fairly healthy supper. Can be something a bit special or just a nice easy meal. No complicated ingredients - a great recipe.
Mars bar bread. Need I say more? Fantastic. For the lazy student who cannot be bothered to use Nutella!? This is exactly the same recipe as the Freshly Baked Bread one. The only difference is that you pop in two mars bars when you put the dough in the baking tin.
I love ratatouille. This is a tart that kind of incorporates ratatouille but it also has sausages in it to make it even more filling. Obviously you could leave this out if you wanted. This was really nice. Try it.
Top tip - you have to cook the sausages, the pastry and then the tart itself so think about when you put it in otherwise you will be eating very late! Nothing is quite like the smell of freshly baked bread. Now you can have it at home with this easy recipe.
Chocolate croissants are one of life's little pleasures. If you can't be bothered to make the pastry yourself, use this recipe. Super quick to do - perhaps a Sunday morning treat? I did a mix of chocolate, chocolate and lemon curd, lemon curd and lemon curd with raisins. All were great, but particularly liked lemon curd with chocolate. Give it a go.
This is a fab recipe. Serve with raspberries, blackberries, plums and/or peaches and cream. Divine and easy.
Part of the problem I find with smoothies is that they are often so stuffed full of fruit that they become, as has been widely reported, almost as bad for you as sugared drinks like Coke. Thus, it seems sensible to make a drink out of just one fruit. Yes, you are not getting all of your five-a-day from this, but equally you are not getting the sugar intake. So easy. Just chuck a whole, stoned peach in a blender with a glass of milk. Done. Skin if you feel strongly about it but I really don't care so I did not bother.
Smoothies are awesome. Fact. Healthy. Easy. What is not to like? Give these a go. An amazing recipe.
So here is another great smoothie recipe. We all love smoothies but it is actually quite hard to get something that works. This does. Try it.
Healthy as always. This was a little more work - have to boil an egg and some pasta! Wooo!
I owe this one to my fantabulous aunt. A nice easy pudding and absolutely delicious. We have been on holiday in Cornwall (wooo go Cornwall!) for a bit - fortunately Hurricane Bertha kind of just grazed our bit so we have still been able to beach and sail and things. There is something about sea air that takes it out of you so it was really nice to sit down and have a proper meal! This is splendid. Try it.
These are brilliant. They are healthy and look fabulous. If you have a big jar, you can eat straight out of it, or alternatively tip it out onto a plate. Such a good idea.
Next year I have two vegetarians in my house so it only seems right that we learn a little about how they live...! This is another Nigel Slater recipe and it is superb (as ever). Also really easy.
This is simply divine. It comes from a book called "Art of the Tart" (great name) and it's just delish! It is actually surprisingly light. Enjoy. Germanic and Charlotte came over the other day and we had a lovely evening. This is well worth a go.
