I am currently doing some work in London so the whole cooking thing is becoming a bit more difficult. However, I did find time to make some chocolate brownies! This recipe comes from a book I was given many years ago; give it a go.

Ingredients
- 115g chocolate
- 3 eggs
- 175g butter
- 4 tablespoons plain flour
- Teaspoon of baking powder
- 340g caster sugar (12 tablespoons!)
Method
Melt the chocolate and the butter together in a Bain Marie and pour into a separate mixing bowl.

Whisk up the eggs until frothy and then add to the mix a little at a time.
Add the flour and baking powder and stir in. It should be the kind of consistency below.
Pop it in a baking tray with some baking paper (not too much otherwise you will set fire to it, as I discovered the hard way in my first term at Durham...) and cook for about 18 minutes at 180 degrees then cover with tin foil (it will have browned on top). Cook for a further 12 mins. Then take the cover off and finish in the oven for 1 min. (So that's 33 mins overall - the middle shouldn't be wobbly).
Let it cool before cutting up and passing round.
