Nothing quite like a nice slab of meat with all the trimmings. The best sauce to have with this is béarnaise sauce; it's delicious.
I really made a mistake here. I forgot to add the yeast. I realised this after an hour of it not rising - so instead of starting again, I just kneaded it in. The dough at this stage was at what I like to call the “soft brick” stage, by which I mean that you could probably break a window with it, but not hammer a tent peg in with it. Not that helpful I realise but there you go.
Anyhow, this recipes is actually great and I will replicate it. The bread is definitely firmer but this works well since the inside is all olives and tomato and so quite moist. This recipe is so easy and it tastes soooo good! A must! I reckon this will cost less than £1 to make all four mousses (use Tesco/Sainsbury's own chocolate). I used ramekins that were 3 inches across and 1 inch deep. These would be a good dinner party pud or date night thing as it's easy to make but still tastes fab. Maybe serve with raspberries or something if doing for date night #toptip. This recipe comes from the new Crumbs Family Cookbook which my grandmother very kindly got me. I can now confirm that it is fabulous and these went down a treat. The only slight change I made was to add a scoop of chocolate spread because I am obsessed!
Enjoy. This is something that my dad has always made. Ever since I was little, on special occasions he would declare that he was going to treat us all to some of his "amazing dauphinoise potatoes". We would all inwardly groan, but really this is unfair. They are the most luxurious potatoes in the world. Nothing beats them. They are creamy and delicious! Furthermore, they are not actually that difficult to do - the ingredients are simple thing; there is nothing bizarre: potatoes, onion, cheese and milk are the key ingredients. Nothing more.
Give it a shot. It's fantastic. Great as a starter for a dinner party. Really nice yet actually quite simple, just requires a bit of organisation. Can be done the night before.
Love this. Perfect little pudding, such an easy recipe. It is worth noting that the cake top bit is exactly the same ingredients as the crumble on this Apple Crumble only without the egg... just saying!
This is one of Jamie Oliver's recipes and is something to go with something else - I just had it with fish grilled on the BBQ. Very nice and can be a great salad; almost prefer it cold!
Soooooo goood! Peanut butter and chocolate in a beautiful plaited loaf. Life doesn't get much better. Different flavour in each plait. Amazing.
This is easier than I thought. My mum has made this forever and it is really good but I always thought it was a bit complicated and long-winded. However, I now realise the error of my ways! Super simple, super nice. Try it.
I think we can all safely agree that this is a fantastic idea. Everyone likes chocolate spread on their toast - but this cooks the chocolate spread into the bread itself! It is the best thing ever! Looks great, tastes great. What is not to like?! Boom.
What is chicken ugg? Well, it is the left overs from a roast. Sounds pretty nasty, but it is very nice and unbelievably cheap - you are making the roast chicken do two meals. Give it a go.
OK. You saw it here first. This is just the best idea EVER. The ultimate toastie - the ham and cheese is cooked right into the bread, and because you roll it, it looks fantastic. This will rock your world.
OK, this was a mistake. I was trying to make fudge. But somehow it did not work as fudge. However, this is AMAZINGLY GOOD. You are supposed to use peanut butter but I did not do so because my mum is allergic to it so tried with ordinary butter. This may be why it did not work as it was meant to. Still, this is disgustingly good and would work as a pudding after a great meal. Best served chilled!
Everyone loves cheesecake. This is as easy as it is going to get. No gelatine or anything like that but it still works. This makes a nice light cheesecake that is perfect after a good meal. Make well in advance and ideally leave it to set overnight.
Roast chicken is the ultimate Sunday meal. I always thought it was quite complicated but it really is not. All you have to do is make sure you are organised about when you put everything in. Nothing beats this easy recipe so give it a go.
Super easy. Just chuck everything on and enjoy. Use the Olive and Parmesan Swirl Bread.
If you can't be bothered to cook the bacon, I suggest you use ham and add a pinch of salt. It was a little hectic when I made this and as a result I did not take any pictures. Instead, you have a lovely panoramic one which I took this summer. Hope it calms everything down. This one makes for a great breakfast. The challenge is the hollandaise sauce but this recipe is actually quite simple so give it a go.
Comfort food starts with Fish Pie. It takes a bit of work but it is so worth it. Plus, you can freeze it and eat it at some other date.
Another Tovey recipe, and a very good one. Easy recipe for a small healthy supper. Do it. Not that pretty but super nice! What a recipe! So good. Give it a shot. The ingredients are cheap so it makes sense to make your own.
A good, fairly healthy supper. Can be something a bit special or just a nice easy meal. No complicated ingredients - a great recipe.
